It shows up in the device manager/harddrive manager, but I cannot access it - doesnt show up in windows explorer.. do I have to assign a drive letter to it or am I missing anything here? thx

problem is that I can only access their website with another computer that has no cdburner installed and I have no other ways of getting it to my dell computer.. so back to my question - how do I access the drivers on the hidden partition??

P.S. I also do not have any partition magic software or alike on that notebook and cant connect to my home network without the right LAN/ethernet drivers

Didn't you get the drivers disc with the machine?

In any case, there's no such thing as a 'drivers partition'. Maybe you mean the restore partition? I don't think you can access that without actually doing the full restore.

Maybe you should run out and buy a USB thumb drive for $15 or whatever.

That ain't gonna happen. Just call dell and request the drivers cds. They should ship em out for free.

USB floppy drive/flash drive could solve your problems...
