Keyborad has keys for changing brightness, but not for changing contrast ?

There is no way you can change the contrast on a Dell laptop. Well I don't think there is...

Most laptops don't have any sort of contrast control via keystroke combination. Brightness is the standard option. You may have to go into the display properties themselves or see if there's a way to create hotkey setup for the option you wish, I'm afraid.

you can adjust the gamma in the control pannel, but its not as user friendly as a simple brightness adjustment.

Yeah depending on if you have a dedicated graphics card, you can for sure go into the videocard control panel, and see all the crazy things you can do. Right click on the background, then select "properties", and click the "Settings" tab and click the advanced button. What you're looking for should be somewhere in there. If you have integrated graphics, there should still be some options in there, but not as many.
