    How do I check to see if the 1520 screen is LG or Samsung

    This was brought up before in another thread but i cant find that exact thread, i found another thread with it but the instructions were to vague. Anyone know or want to direct me to the thread again.

    I know you go to control panel.....and someone said hardware...but all i see is "Add Hardware"

    Try Device Manager. Usually the make and model is listed there. Why do want to know this? Prolbems with the screen?

    Ok it says "Manufacturer: (standard monitor types)"

    doesnt tell me anything

    Well, try the device manager.
    But if there aren't any problems can't really see why you'd bother.

    I don't know if there is another way to ID your screen. Maybe on the control panel of your GPU. Or somewhere in the hardware list. Maybe if you'd search the forum.

    Control Panel> System> Hardware> Device Manager> Monitors> Right Click and select Properties> Select Details> Drop Down Menu-Hardware Ids

    You can also check on your Dell account page under systems and peripherals by entering your service tag number and pulling up original configuration.
