    Hi all. I am trying to find a way to control my fans! I can't find anything that works. Here is what I have tried;

    notebook hardware control
    riva tuner
    speedfan
    ik8fangui

    I have looked in the registry, and without any of the above programs (which don't work), there are no fan entries. Is there some way to get to the bios to control the fans? Am I missing out on software that can do this (maybe I'm not using one of the above programs correctly)?

    Let me know if you have had any luck controlling your fans with your 1520. If you have, let me know how you did it!

    Thanks,

    No. I don't even have my laptop yet.
    Are the settings greyed out or something?
    Or are you not even able to get the program to start?

    When I tried it last time- I couldn't get full functionality. It would not 'sense' the fans. I'll give it another shot and let ya know...

    Update. It allows control of the CPU fan. Now I just need to get it to see the GPU fan!!!

    Update two. I believe there is only one fan on the 1520.

    as far as i know, the GPU fan can not be controlled with i8kfangui, maybe i am wrong?. i know it can read the temps and report them but other than that i dont know of any way to control the actual fan.
