How do I get inside my Dell Innpiron 6000? I plant to upgrade from integrated graphics to the ATI MR X300 and I want to take a look to make sure I know what to do. However, after unscrewing all the screws and removing the hard drive and CD drive I'm stuck.

    Thanks!

Dammit. After putting the hard drive and CD driveback in and screwing everything back together the laptop won't boot up.

No, I'm just replacing the graphics card with a spare part from Dell. The ATI MRX300 for the Dell I6000 is configured specifically for this one laptop. It's not a standard card direct from ATI. So, it should be able to replace the IMA900 graphics that I have now. I was told this on the forums on the Dell website and I have seen it on other sites (including this one, I think).

The ATI Mobility Radeon X300 128mb is $142 from Dell spare parts.

Crap, it won't work. Why is there no PCI-Express port on here? There are lines where the port should be, but it's not there!! Intel's website even says that this mobo has PCI-E!
