I have no idea how to do this. When I visit the Dell site and input my laptops info it recommends driver updates. Most installed without a problem, however the DVD/CD drivers are a mystery. There are 11 recommended updates to the drivers but I cant figure out how to install them. Some are applications but most are zipped files. Where to begin?
    Here are the file names:
    Applications: R235097, R246607, TSST_TS_L633C-12-7SATA-TRAY-A06_R20075
    Zipped files: AD-7580S FD06, DV_W28SV_ROB_UPDATER, GTION-WIN7-A107, HLDS-CTION-A104, R250548_KD03FW, SA3_HD14, SA4_JD12, SE1_ED14

Can a normal non-IT person really be expected to just figure this out?

Not an option. I go to Properties/Hardware/Properties/Driver and "update driver is greyed out, not an option.

This model Dell is supposed to play Blu Ray but until I load the appropriate driver it doesn't even recognize a Blu Ray disk.

I cant believe Dell just leaves you stranded like this. I dont know that any other manufacturer is any better but this is rediculous.

Go to dell.com/support and select your system from the menus. Then see if you can find the driver for your blue ray player. Download then install (Don't let the Dell driver download site manage your driver downloads)

It would be a firmware issue not a driver issue.

As said before go to Dell support and and find your setup.Look under the CD/DVD drop down tab.

Make sure you know what drive you have exactly before downloading and installing.

Go to Device Manager, check the properties of your Drive, from that, determine which update you need from dell. Run that updated file
