    How do I know if I have samsung or LG lcd?

    How can I find out?

    Also the manual says to adjust brightness press Fn key and up arrow. What the heck is a Fn key??

    Go to device manager, monitor, right click to go to properties, click on details tab, then go to drop down for hardware id and see what it says.

    Legend, LOOK at your KEYBOARD.... you'll find a blue 'FN' key... press that and up or down arrows (the ones that have the little blue sun looking icons on them).

    2nd key from the left, bottom row. at least thats where it is on my 1420
