New to all this overclocking biz; wondering how to oc my x1400. Don't even have basic oc knowledge. Do you just change clock/mem speeds as high as possible or is it done gradually or something? I know I need an external prog (powerstrip 3.63) but not sure about diff drivers (I hear omegas are best). Just picked up hl2 and farcry and I figured I might as well see how much performance I can get...

Hey, what ever external program you use (I am using Ray Adam's ATI Tray Tools), will gradually increase the clocks for you. You do not want to crank them up as high as possible, it may cause your comp to freeze. Also, I would reccomend getting a cooling pad if you plan to overclock. I also do have the Omega drivers on my x300 and it does make a little difference in the 3dMark05, don't have the exact numbers. By the way, I can play Far Cry and pretty decent setting on my x300 so you should get some pretty good results. Let me know if you need more info!

Just search google. So what, pump things up till your system does freeze, then you know you've gone as far as you can and will have to back them down a step.
Be the first to sacrafice your own system for the sake of further exploration but I've never seen it where someone can't overclock their system to the point of just locking up, then just bring the voltages back down to where they run.
Do I overclock any of my stuff?
No, things run fine enough for me at the spec voltages and I prefer stability over a process running a nano second faster when your human ability to percieve the increased speed is impossible anyhow.
How do I overclock an e1505?
