    Ok, let me rephrase.

Usually there is a choice to choose to play your games in it's native resolution and have black bars on the side (A non-wide screen resolution)

Right now, I my game is stretching filling up the sides and I want to know if it's possible to not stretch it on these Dells.

Perhaps I'm not understanding your question. But to me it sounds like it's stretching because you're playing a non-widescreen resolution on a widescreen display... (This means changing the game resolution to a ws compatible res such as 1280x800 or 1440x900)

go to your nvidia control panel. there should be an option to add bars to the side to maintain the aspect ratio. look for something along the lines of change flat panel scaling ----> use nvidia scaling OR nvidia scaling with fixed-aspect ratio (black bars on the side).

    hope this helps!

if you don't have the option, you should upgrade your drivers using laptopvideo2go.com or dell's M1730 drivers (i'm using them on the Inspiron 1520).

they have the new control panel, i'm not sure if the old one has the control panel.

Okay. As they said go into nvidia control panel, then you'll be looking for "Use Nvidia scaling w/ fixed aspect ratio" Under Display > Change Flat Panel Scaling.

If you don't have this in your control panel then you will have to upgrade your drivers. 169.01 at laptopvideo2go are the latest I believe.
