So I just got my D630 (nice machine), and I'm setting it up. I just put in the travellite adapter to see how it fits, but now I can't figure out how to remove it. I have tried pulling on it. I don't want to pull too hard and end up breaking it. How do I remove it?

There should be a release button beside the adapter-push it in and the adapter should pop out.

Actually there was a release button for the DVD drive, then you pull it out. For the travellite adapter, its just a single piece of plastic. There actually isn't a release button directly on the laptop itself.

I do see a hole on the bottom with what looks like a lock picture, but that is nothing more than a hole.

Oh, sorry about that then. Have you looked in the D630's manual about how to remove the TravelLite module? It's usually very complete when it comes to info like this.

BTW, that hole with the lock picture...It's for a security screw that prevents someone from simply ejecting the DVD drive and walking away.

I've looked through every manual they have and even looked at the D620 and they all say push on the latch release and pull it out. Well that only works when there is a latch release.

Well I got it out, but I needed to use a screwdriver to use leverage to get it out. Thought they'd make it a little easier to pop in and out.

    Thanks for the help :)
