I know I have SB Audigy Advanced MB but I don't know if I have the right drivers and what-not. I have a kensington dock that supports a 5.1 surround sound hookup, I managed to plug everything together and my notebook recognized the dock. I got the sound to play on the speakers, but they would only play on 2.1 I looked on my mothers boyfriends e1705 and he has the same software (i think, same layout) and he has the option to play in 5.1 format. Is there different versions of the audigy sound? Do I need to update the drivers, where can I get these drivers?

You can get the drivers from support.dell.com

    Couple of notes -

1.) Audigy Advance is just software - not hardware. Your hardware is Sigmatel, so you'll need to update the Sigmatel Drivers first before messing with the Audigy software.

2.) most likely you need to adjust your settings in either the control panel or in Sound blaster. If your software is set for 2.1 then the sounds will come out in 2.1 and not 5.1

You can get these drivers on Creative's website: www.creative.com I would advise you use the Auto-Update link. Just easier.
