I was trying to remove AVG antivirus from my computer cause it wasn't working properly, but when I tried to remove it from add/remove it gave me an error, so I couldn't uninstall. I went to AVG site and downloaded the AVG tool to help remove the program, apparently it did cause I don't see it in my system anymore, but I'm trying to reinstall the aVG new version and I get the message that says AVG can't be installed because there is an AVG version already installed in my computer! but is not! I removed it. is not in add/remove programs anymore and i did a registry clean to see if it helps and it didn't. I'm unable to install AVG cause of that. How do I remove a program that I can't find in my computer??

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
You might have to purge AVG from your registry manually. Make sure you back up your registry first.
-
Did you open your C drive in Windows Explorer & look for it in Program Files and Program Fies(x86)? It's probably in Program Files (x86).

I see the AVG folder with some items, but not the program itself, I'm gonna delete the AVG folder but I don't think thats gonna help tho

Well, I guess none of you guys know how to help me

Open Internet Explorer(not Firefox) and paste C:\Program Files\ into the address bar and hit enter.
Delete the AVG installation folder if present and try to install the new AVG version.
If you are sill unable to install the new version follow these steps to edit the registry.
Download ccleaner
Install and open.
Click on tools
check that AVG is not still in the list installed programs, if it is uninstall.
If it is not listed click on registry and scan for issues.
click the white check box on the top grey bar in first column to select all issues.
click on fix selected issues and then click yes on the backup registry prompt and save.
fix selected issues and close ccleaner -
I already tried with CC cleaner before and didn't help, I downloaded the latest version to see if it helps but it didn't -
Your computer could be infected with the Fake AVG Antivirus
Removal tool:

It might be best to run the scan in safe mode with networking -
