Can someone help me verify if i have an LED or CCFL display on my m1330?

IUnder Device Instance Path and Hardware ID it says MONITOR\CMO 1309. I'm not too thrilled with this LCD as I have this natural instinct to wipe it with monitor wipes cuz it has this filmy/oily look to it. I dont know if it's so much grainy. Anyway, it's only readily apparent when looking at something white on the LCD such but when looking at blacks the screen seems crystal clear.

My packing slip indicates that the Slim and White LCD has a Part number of RW483 and Item Number 320-5591.

Wouldn't any of the LED-type LCD's be in a slimmer lid? It's not like the two type of LCD's are identical...LED=super thin, normal LCD=thicker lid?

its thinner by a few mm's so it may be difficult to tell which you got since you have nothing to compare the screen to...

Obvious solution- The webcam. 2 MP- CCFL, VGA- LED. Of course, if you ordered it w/o the webcam, then it isn't applicable.

CCFL is upgrade from LED. Check your invoice. Also, CCFL has ALS, whereas LED does not.

It's the other way around. The LED is an upgrade.

invoice isn't always correct considering how people sometimes get a screen type they didn't order or a screen type that's different from the one stated on the invoice.

i believe the brightness of the LED is 300-nits, and lower on he regular LCD. if you have another laptop, turn the brightness all he way up on both, if it is significantly brighter, chances are it is the LED, if they look similar, it prob is the reg

So if my monitor hardware ID says:

    MONITOR\LPL0000

Does this mean I have a CCFL instead of the LED?

that still doesn't verify whether you have the LCD or LED since some sony screens are still brighter... i guess you should just find your monitor hardware id and match it to lcd/led and the manufacturer
