    How do i install RAM in Vostro 1400? Does anyone have a guide or a link?

    Wow it looks really easy! But it says how to remove it not insert new ones. Also does adding your own ram viod the warranty?

    Nope, adding or replacing the ram or hdd has no influence on your warranty. Putting in the modules works the same as taking it out in reverse order. Do make sure you have the right kind of memory before you put it in.

    Indeed, but I would have liked the (frankly better illustrated) manual like given for the V1400 in this thread. The manuals available in support.dell.com aren't as good. I'm asking because the dsce.dell.com site doesn't seem to be very freely browsable you catch my drift :p
