    Here's step;
    1. Right click on my computer, select "Manage"
    2. Click on "Device Manager"
    3. Expand "Mice and other pointing devices"
    4. You should find your touchpad there, right click on it and select "Disable"

    Cool thanks, 1 more question, do you know how to set the sound button on the laptop so it doesnt increase so much? From mute to one push is like a huge increase, is there a way to set it so it slowly goes up in volume when i press it?

    Same here. The listed options for Alps Touchpad are:
    • Update Driver...
    • Uninstall
    • Scan for Hardware Change
    • Properties
    (I'm using an i6000 with GMA900)

    I don't believe you can completely turn off the touchpad. You can adjust the settings so that its not so sensitive (control panel --> mouse)

    Double click the speaker icon on the taskbar. Then adjust (lower) the volume for 'Wave.' :)
