Where does it state on my 1520 that i have the High Resolution, glossy widescreen 15.4 inch display (1680x1050) , in device manager it states Generic PNP monitor, on my 8600 gt video card i cannot select image sharpening or digital vibrance and the fonts on my display look soft and out of focus.

Definetly not what I would expect of adjusting a HD monitor, I'm starting to think they gave me the low res monitor instead of the top of the line lcd monitor i ordered, they already screwed up on my sound card and invoice says different.
    Please help

Yes it does, when i lowered the resolution and applied it, the nvidia card suggested that i was not utilizing the max resolution which is 1680x1050, display is still soft and out of focus, why can't I adjust image sharpening??

I ordered the sound blaster card and received the intel hd instead, is there that much of a difference, even at max voulume it seemslow.

BTW, changed dpi setting , now my display is at mat and very clear.

Any opinions if it's worth my time to send it back for the other sound card, if it's louder i will.

For adjusting the digital vibrance... read this thread... you need to download some new drivers... please let me know if you are also able to use the image sharpening because I am not able to even with the new drivers

no, I went max Resolution and changed the DPI settings for font size, on IE selected page, font size and 150% zoom, perfect for my eyes and thanks to all, very happy with the 1520.
