The only difference I know in the 2 is the build quality and the price. What I'm asking is how worse of the build quality is the e1405. I'm thinking of buying the e1405 but a lot of people say that the d620 has a better build quality. Can anyone tell me how the 2 laptop's build qualities compare?

D620 also has a better GPU, better support, and more expandability with the docking station.

The latitudes has the better quality of materials. Dell makes it so the latitudes are meant to travel everyday and be in a business type environment. The Inspirons are more to be at home use.

With a latitude, you'll get USA-base support. With Inspiron, you get outsourcing support.
