I called four times (at 11:30 am EST and earlier at 9:00 pm), two to home and two to small business, and dealt with four different reps, all Indian. I haven't been able to get anyone local. What's up with that? None of them would budge at all to get me a deal, which is why I'm hoping to get someone more local.

I've never had such a bad experience shopping with Dell before. One of the guys was arguing with me, trying to tell me that the Inspiron 1720 does not support dual hard drives, and another did not know the difference between GDDR3 and DDR2.

    Any suggestions?

Its the time of day your calling and the number. Their are different numbers in Canada and US to help you with that.

What's a good number to try? I have been using these, from the Contact Us page:
Home & Home Office Customer Sales 1-800-999-3355
    Small Business Customer Sales 1-800-387-5752

I'd also like to add that the guy from last night hung up on me after 5 minutes. Terrible, terrible.
