    How do you assosciate mkv with media direct

    i have installed the codecs and they play in xp(media direct) but i cannot open them in the media direct player

    Do you mean you can play the file in Media Direct under Windows but not direct boot Media Direct?

    no i can play mkv in windows xp(which is the media direct partition. i can open it in wmp and it played) but the file doesnt show up in the menu

    If you are launching Media Direct from Windows, you are not using the MediaDirect partition but the MediaDirect under \Program Files\Dell\Media Direct. Anyway, I still don't understand what's your question. The file does not show up in which menu? :confused:
