I have a business laptop (Precision M4400), how do I know if my warranty is transferable or not? If it is, what is the process of transferring the ownership to someone else?
-
I think it has to do with your service tag. The NBD is connected to that but maybe you have to inform Dell or the new owner just has to register it with Dell.
Are you selling it then? -
Fill out these forms and submit....all dell warranty is transferrable as far as I know.

I second LPT-LVR's query....you selling your baby I♥RAM ? -
shame to hear indeed...i just read why in the owner's lounge, you game dork! lol. You should be able to sell it here on the forum, Chrous sold his quad-core in a day for the price he wanted
-
Yeah the warranty is transferable. What price are you selling it for?
-
I'm not a game dork (just a Valve dork), it's just I have to admit I have no use of CAD or workstation applications anymore lol.
So yeah I guess I'll be selling this baby for a bigger, badder baby.
@ atbnet, probably $200-300 less than retail + vx revolution mouse + RAM upgrade. Or best offer, who knows, the thread should be up tonight. -
To have the laptop transfered/sold to a new owner, just send it in for repairs. You'll never see the laptop again.
-
I take it you have a story to tell?
-
Yes, read my "dell depot service" thread or my blog at the link in my signature.
How do you fully sell a laptop, and transfer warranty to new owner?
