I noticed I have Wake On LAN as a setting in the 1720 BIOS.
How to I get it to work, I've never worked with Wake On LAN but I do a lot of Remote Desktop from Work -> Laptop.
I read that the laptop needs to be plugged in to the power but other than that I don't know where to begin.
Thanks, Chris.

There are more than enough hits to get you going....

All you have to do is send a special data packet called a magic packet (having the format : FF FF FF FF FF FF (in hex) followed by the MAC address of the PC)over the broadcast address of the network. So that every PC will receive it but only the computer having the matching MAC address will respond).
You can use a WOL tool like this one. Search in google to find may other such tools.
How does Wake On-LAN work?
