Okay, so Dell sent me a replacement laptop, and the exhaust fan is broken and it gets ridiculously hot... so... do I just give the box back to Fedex with the laptop/charger, or do I need to do something?

inside the box should be a label with instructions on what to do....

for my last dell replacement/return, it was via Fedex PRP... you call Fedex, set up time , apply the label on the return box, Fedex will come by the house to pickup the package

The two times I had to send in my laptop to Dell, the instructions told me to put my stuff in the cushioned box and slap their pre-paid label on top of the existing label on the box.

There was no label... so I'm assuming I'm going to need to either call again, or hope my email is miraculously replied to...

Krap, did you get any resolve on this? Were you able to locate the label? I had a preprinted label I was linked to print via e-mail, sent to me for a return on something. Otherwise, as Paperwastage & Mastershroom suggested it should be w/in the box.

If you can't find it..contact a Dell Rep via phone and have them link you the return label via e-mail. :)

    Cin...

They're closed till monday (as of now... today) so I'm going to wait awhile for a reply email, and if not, call around 2:00. Let me check his emails first though.

You first have to call and get a return authorization. Dell will then have Fedex come out to pick up the box.
