Screen quality is very important to me. Of course, the ideal screen would be that of a Sony Vaio, but I was wondering how the M1330's screen measures up to the other laptops in its class (Asus, Toshiba, etc.)

Hey for me the LCD screen on the M1330 no problem I also have a VAIO to hand GRS515 While the Vaio is very bright and clear my M1330 is not that far behind..Well thats my findings and my eye;s''lol
Most are happy with their screens on M1330 -
okay thanks! just to clarify, i'm talking about a LED-backlit screen and not the regular CCFL screen.
By the way BlackRussian, are you based in France?? Coz if you are, I have some questions -
the M1330 is IMO the best in it's class in terms of price versus performance. Also it gets mad points for looks.

if you know this work by God then you'll know my location..Piton de la Fournaise.
Just PM me to keep it on the down low.. -
may i ask why you went for the Inspiron 1420 instead of the M1330?
-
Mine was like $990 ($325 coupon off 1299) before tax.

the 14.1 screen doesn't take too much off portability... the m1330 really is just about style... performance is negligable versus other in similar classes....
How does the M1330 screen compare to other laptops in its class?
