Heh, you got it cheap. Where I live I get 1MB for $34.95 (the one I have) and it's $49.95 for 2MB, $69.95 for 3MB all with 256 upload and *gasp* $168.95 for 4MB with 1MB upload.

The promotional price is $30 for 15mb/2mb for 6 months, and an additional $15 for the boost service (30mb/5mb). The standad rate is $65 for the boost service once you are out your promotional period, but there trick is to stay longer on the promotional period... How??? Hint: There is no contract :D

Currently running a 10/1 connection for about $65.00. could have gotten a 20/2 for a bit more, but unfortunately i'm just out of reach :(

Sure does come in handy when buying games over STEAM or redownloading all those GB I already bought. They're rolling out fiber in the surrounding areas, 50/50 (the fastest they sell) goes for about $145.00

35 EUR per month for 1Mb download / 384Kbps upload, via 3G (SIM card HSDPA modem). Convenient since the owner from whom I'm renting doesn't allow internet through cable TV or phone.

But right now the 3G antenna is down :( and I'm crawling at GPRS speeds... Hope they'll get it solved real soon.

I actually got like 4 months free from my ISP (cable modem). When signing up for my cable company's service I asked if they were going to provide broadband service soon.

They told me they were doing a test run in my area and needed testers, so I got enrolled. :D

At the end of the test period I could choose on whether I kept the service or just return everything.

Holy crap, I didn't realize Shaw was offering those kinds of speeds out West.

I'm paying Robbers (Rogers...) $50/month for 7M/800k. I'm lucky to get 4M down though. 'Oh, that 7M speed depends on line quality and load'... Well, don't advertise it as 7M then.

I've been paying Verizon for DSL on top of having to keep a worthless landline and getting topped out at 694/139 and Verizon just sent me a notice that the DSL part of the bill is going up to $21.99.

I'll be going EVDO on Monday and dropping both the landline and the DSL from Verizon.

That in KBs (Kilob ytes) per sec:

    583 KB/sec Down
    46.5 KB.Sec Up

    Good enough for me )

Screw Optimum online... they don't support my area! So I pay as much as you do for the 15000 times slower speed

How is that? It's around $60 per semester. Besides, my financial aid + scholarship pays for it.

And I don't mind using McAfee VirusScan Enterprise. I can do anything on this connection... what is limited?

Don't remind me. Back at home I pay around 100$ for 1 mbit down/256 kbit up. It used to be 100$ for 256 kbit down/no guranteed up. We don't entertainment tax, but we do have communications tax.
