- is this RAM (Corsair) a good choice for the i6400? is compatible?
- my RAM would be dual-channel ?
-
btw, what memory brand DELL gives you by default?

Most of the time it is Samsung RAM. It should work. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't!
-
won't it be a bottleneck for my system?

What are you doing with the system. Also the other specs of your computer. Very few times is the memory the bottleneck...unless you only have 256MB or something like that.
-
Yeah I used to have bottleneck issues with 256mb samsung. dell usually uses samsung but I've had them use kingston. Both are great as is crucial.
Corsair is excellent and has a great reputation (usually a bit expensive but crucial and kingston can be also) however I have heard of quite a few dead on arrival cases with them-easily resolved though and usually with their cheaper ram. -
i am assuming you are adding it to one already present 512 sodimm. that means you will be running dual channel and in the process you will be getting rid of any bottlenecks with the ram on this model.

Go to http://www.corsairmemory.com/corsair/configurator_search.html
put in your model and will tell you which ram to use. -
would this corsair works on E1505?
Corsair@NewEgg
and why the second one twice the price of the first one?
all I can see the diff is the first one called "Value Select" model.
what does it mean and what's the cons on the value select memory? -
Will this
CORSAIR ValueSelect 512MB DDR2 667 (PC2 5300)
work on the e1505 - can I match 533 with 667?? -

Hope this helps. -
what if both the ram modules are changed to a 667MHz ram modules,,,believeing that 1505 comes with a 667MHz FSB board and chipset...
please give your opinions on this -
you are correct. the e1505 perfectly capable of running ram at 667Mhz.
How good is "Corsair SoDimm 512Mb DDR2 533" memory for the I6400/E1505?
