I just started shopping around for a laptop and am interested in the Inspiron 9300. I notice that $750 off coupon expires on 5/12. Should I rush my decision to take advantage of that? Or will another similar offer be along soon after this one? Since I just now started shopping I don't know how rare this type of deal is.
Thanks.

I wouldn't go out and rush your decision, unless you absolutely sure this is what you want. I got my 9300 about a month ago, and they were offering the 750 off back then. If you go to the Notebook News and Reviews forum on this site, you can see the pattern of the offers (topic is Notebook and Tech deals week of xx/xx to xx/xx).
Also, dell has deals of the week under the Notebook menu (right now they are offering 9300 with a $500 coupon off). The bad part is those don't offer as much customization as the ones on here do. The processor, ram, screen, etc are already chosen for you.

$750 is about the best you can find. Sometimes they have a 35% off. Lately there have been a ton of deals. Computer sales must be down. In the past Dell would have these deals once a quarter if you were lucky. You just never know when they are going to come around.

for 1599 and up, 750 is best you can get
for 1999 and up, ive seen 35% and 800 as nice deals -
Every once in a blue moon Dell will parcel out 35% off deals, If you spec out a loaded I9300 the 35% off coupon is unbeatable. It was last offered about 2 months ago. The $750 off coupon is offered quite often I think. Depends on how urgent you need it -- if you really don't need it at this moment, I highly suggest waiting around a bit, as by summer supposely AMD will roll out their goodies, and Intel/Dell more than likely will take an axe to their prices...
cheers,
yass

Chud,
I would wait untill the $800 off or the 35% off deal comes out then add a Stack-able Dell "Big Bucks" coupon that noone used (can find this in other forums) to it (min $30 ) or wait a couple months untill the price of the 9300 goes down a couple hundred or your third option is going to the DEll outlet and getting one for cheap with the 35% off.
Good Luck -
Thanks for the replies.
I took yall's advice and decided to wait to buy my laptop.
One other question: can the coupon be used in addition to the "take $300 off instantly" deal they have on Inspiron notebooks? -
thats a big negative ghost rider! [8D][8D]

I would not rush it if I were you. Dell has new coupons all the time. I used one $800 off coupon for $1999+ to get my I6000. If you configure a computer of $2286+, 35% off coupon will be a better deal. If your configuration is not that expensive, wait for the $750 off coupon for $1499+. That would cut your price by half. My suggestion is to wait patiently if you don't need the computer right away. In the long run, the price will only get cheaper and better deals will come.
Dell Inspiron 6000d, Pentium M 750 (1.86 GHz/2MB Cache/533MHz FSB), 1GB (2x512MB) 400MHz DDR2 SDRAM, 80GB 5400RPM HD, 128MB ATI X300, 15.4" WSXGA+.
How good is that $750 off coupon?
