How usable is the integrated mic+speaker combo for voice chatting ? for Skype, Yahoo, Gtalk etc.. I'm particularly concerned about echo (feedback) when using both together. Are there any good echo cancellation software provided ? Is anyone using the integrated mic+speakers for talking?

mike is wonderful but speakers arn't headphones make all the differance just make sure they are good ones. The mic is i think the word is hyperbolic? very directional so it does not pick up background noise at all, I am very satisfied with the mike and let down with the speakers but if properly adjusted the feedback is not a problem just the sound quality

Sound quality of the built-in speakers should be good enough for normal voice (not talking about music). What concerns me is echo/feedback. Can it be used for VOIP without a headset? Because I've had some very bad experiences before with built-in mic+speaker combinations on notebooks.

Besides, if I'm going to wear headphones, then might as well get a headset; making the whole integrated mic thing pointless.
