I have called this morning with Dell Netherlands about dead pixels. I'am interested in a Dell Inspiron, but i am afraid for one or two dead pixels. I have read here soms experiences of some buyers that sometimes Dell replaces the screen with 1-2 dead pixels. The two sales-guys of Dell who i have spoken to stays with the Dell regulation that the screen will only be replaced if it has more then 5 dead pixels. This is for me a bit of a problem, it's a lot of money. As comparision, i can get in Holland for example a Asus notebook with pixel-warranty for 50 euro extra.
How are the experiences lately? Is it just lucky that some people has the right sales-guy on the phone who is very kind to replace the screen?

I don't know about Dell overseas. But you have a return policy where you can return it for any reason. Minus the restocking fee and crap. But if you complain to customer service I am sure they would replace it if it did happen. If not tell them there is alot of light leakage.

Dell send a engineer to my place? Is this then not a problem? He comes for light leakage, but i have a dead pixel.

I dought they will change it for 1 dead pixel. -
If you are going for the highest res screen (1920x1200) then 1-2 dead pixels will hardly even be noticable. I would take a couple dead pixels over light bleeding personally.
