If an XPS M1330 has the 802.11 a/g wireless network card and you wanted to replace it with the Intel Wireless N network card how difficult is it to install? Is it under a door on the bottom of the XPS M1330 or do you have to take it apart at all?

Very easy, I've done it on the 1530 several times. You have to just plug in the third antenea to the card. I beleive it is the gray wire. Then update the drivers.
Not sure where it is on the 1330, on the 1530 its on the bottom. You can find instructions on how to do this on the dell website.

Seems the 1330 only has the two antennas - there is a third, grey wire but it aint long enough.

Led back-lit screen has wire missing full stop.
Lucky for me I had a spare lid and used the wire from that but it was a bit of work involved.
Standard screen its easy but once again wire is not long enough to make contact to the card. Way round this is to extend the wire and heat shrink any exposed contact.
