I ordered a KVM switch on Sunday. It was shipped yesterday. The package was delivered today ... a day earlier than scheduled. I was all happy and couldn't wait to set things up. But that happiness faded when I opened the box.
In the box was a video cable ... obviously NOT what I ordered.
I called Dell right away to get the problem fixed. I called because I wanted to talk to an actual person rather than submit the return/exchange online (I should have done it online ... LOL). All the rep gave me was a confirmation number. She said I would be getting an email. Nothing has shown up yet.
I was wondering ... how long does it take Dell to process returns/exchanges? How long should I wait for that email before I call to make sure things are being taken care of? Will that email that I am waiting for have the return number in it so that I can track it in my account? Will I even be able to do that.
Thanks in advance for any info.

wait a couple days
a few years ago the AC adapter on my laptop just gave out (i could tell because i had it set to dim the screen when on battery)
I called tech support, gave them the warranty info, and they said it would take 3-5 buisiness days
it was on the front porch the next afternoon
it was probably just a mixup, dont take it as a thing that usually happens with them
bet the person who got your switch is asking the same thing
anyway, good luck
How is Dell with refunds/exchanges?
