    Hey

I have been looking at the M1330 for a bit and its seems that the specs have what I am looking for. My only concern is the amount of problems I have been hearing. I understand most people here are trying to get help for there laptops. But I just want to know before I make the purchase is what are the chances of me receiveing a M1330 withouts any problems. I just want to get some feedback from you guys because at least for me this is alot of money.

Chances are great that you will get a great system. I have had 5 delived to my house of which I own two. Of all five the only thing that could be wrong was one battery had a small crack on the edge. The rest were fine.

Read this article. As funny as it is its also very true.

The "P" has been falling off. Otherwise, true reliability can't be tested for a few years. However, judging by previous XPS systems, they tend to be pretty reliable.

I would say not to worry. They seem to be a really great machine that will last long if not mistreated.

My P fell off.... =/. It is a pretty widespread problem and I could probably get it replaced later on when I'm not as busy.

Sucks how nice this computer is until you pull it out and it says X S

Aside from the P falling off, and ended up Krazy Glueing it back on.
Everything has been absolutely fine from my stand point.
I've yet to encounter crashes or any forms of hardware based problems.

But then again, it's a bit too soon to judge.

Despite whatever nice things might be said about it, you probably have to deal with the fact that you might have to do multiple replacements. When you end up with a good machine, though, you definitely end up with a good machine.

I had the "DEL" fall off. I then also took the other "L" off as well.

Had my 1330 since beginning of August. Love it! Use it at home and work (I'm a software developer). Have used it for 10 hours a day every day since then, and the only slight problem has been with a few external devices where the drivers were causing Vista problems.

for me, the part where the webcam is, has started to "creek" if you press on it possibly its because i was carrying it from that side of the notebook (so my fingers dont touch the XPS lettering to avoid them falling off again).

I had the P fall off on one of my replacements and the top of the X fall of on another. This last one, received October 17th, is better built and feels less fragile than any of the others I got.

I'd say they are finally working out their issues because it's darned near perfect.
