I made this order over the telephone:
M1530
Crimson Red
Vista Ultimate (he insisted the red colour required Ultimate)
T9300
2GB RAM
320GB 5400 rpm hard drive
8600
Wireless N
Internal Bluetooth
1680x1050 LCD
Total of $1868 Canadian
Do you guys think this is a good price? I was not able to lower it (told them I had previous issues with Dell screwing up my orders before as well as not having a laptop for 1 month). The guy didn't budge. Should I phone again? Or will I get nowhere?
Rep kept on asking if I wanted a printer, extended warranty, etc. I am not so confident about phoning them again, as the last time I did for a previous order the person said that I had to speak to my "order creator", who didn't budge either.
What can I use as leverage?
should I tell them I want to cancel? Perhaps then they will budge abit?

Is there any discounts on this order? and what is your warranty in years?
-
No discount. At least he didn't tell me and it doesn't say on order confirmation.
The regular (standard) 1 year that comes in default config.
Note: 1868 without TAX. -
if you're a student, go here:
http://www1.ca.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/xpsnb_m1530?c=ca&cs=cappp1&l=en&s=ppp
choose the 3-year warranty one for $1589 and config your system
you will get the same setup for 1,750 plus 3GB of ram instead of the 2......I hope that helps -
And definitely a 7200rpm hard drive, even if it's smaller in size. Otherwise, the 5400rpm will not keep up with the CPU and the rest.
How is this config?
