I'm waiting anxiously for Dell (or Verizon) to release their WWAN Expresscard-style cards, and noticed Dell is selling their mini-PCI WWAN card (the 5700 mini-card). http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?sku=313-4190&cs=19&c=us&l=en
On the models that incorporate WWAN (some Latitudes, and now the M1210), how is this card installed? Are there TWO mini-card slots in these computers--one for WiFi, and one for WWAN?
Anyone have any updates when Verizon or Dell will release the Expresscard (fits into the card slot in the side) versions for wireless broadband?
Thanks!

From what I understand what you say is correct, there'd be two slots and not one integrated chip. Here's a picture of the Verizon WWAN mini PCI. I know in the m1210 if you get the AV Communications package you can simply open the bottom and pop it in, install necessary drivers and you're good to go (the necessary antenna is installed if you get the AV Communications option on the m1210, I doubt the Latitudes would include an antenna if you don't configure at time of purchase).

Thanks for the info! It's funny how something as small as the M1210 can incorporate TWO mini-pci slots, but the monsterous M1710 only has the one slot!!!
How is wireless broadband implemented on Dell notebooks?
