I ordered my 1530 2 days ago, and all these posts about the WSXGA being grainy I am very weary now, I was wondering if its too late to cancel and reorder with the WXGA screen?

    thanks

not all the screens are grainy. if yours is, get a replacement. if it isnt, enjoy it. Remember, the people that get normal screens don't post about it. so obviously your going to see more negative posts than people posting "just got a non-grainy screen"

But to answer your question, as soon as possible is the best idea. but as for late? umm, the day it should ship is most likely too late to cancel. you'd have to wait for it to be delivered then send it back.

If you get it and its grainy just call Dell and tell them it's grainy alot of people are posting the same problem (although who would post that their screen had no problems) then they either send in the laptop or they have a tech come out to their house. Most of the time Dell puts in a new LG screen which they say is beautiful. So I would call complain and demand or ask agressively to get the LG replacement. Try not to take no for an awnser.

I think you can cancel up to when the ship it. Personally, I think you'd be making a mistake, though. 1, I don't think the screens are as bad as some people make them out to be (not trying to start an argument, just most people think they're pretty good), 2 Dell seems to be pretty accommodating changing screens and you can just get your money back if it doesn't work out. This certainly comes down to personal preference, but WXGA is simply not an option for me, when WSXGA exists.
