    How likely is it the Dell with ship before estimated ship date?

    Anybody has experiences to share?
    I am building a system that shows ESP of 9/18

    Any chance I could get it sooner?

    I'm not sure if they are still suffering from their battery shortage...if they are, very unlikely that they will ship before the date.

    I would say pretty likely. I ordered my laptop from Dell around 6/14. EST was around 7/07. I RECEIVED my laptop around 6/29 :). This has been the trend with pretty much all Dell stuff that my family has ordered.

    mine just shipped today, a week before the ESD, so don't give up.
    you can always call the automated center to hear in which stage of production it is now. 1-800-433-9014

    Well, my ESD date is tomorrow and it just went in boxing stage tonight.I don't think it's very likely to have it shipped before the estimated date but that could be to do students getting their computer for school.

    I ordered my Studio 17 on 8/8. My ESD is 9/9 and I'm still in the Build stage. When I called customer service, I was told that there is a delay as the backlit keyboard and spring green cover are both on backorder.
