Ok, guys, how long did it take for Dell to deliver your order?

my case:
Ordered in UK, 10 p.m. on 12th of February.
15/02/17 16:30 CHINA DEPARTED MANU.FACILITY
15/02/17 08:30 PENDING. <- appeared same time as shipped, imho 8:30 = 16:30

ETA 24/02/2017

I have read that dell's ETA's are quite conservative.

so how long did it take for dell to deliver your notebook vs ETA?
how much time it took them to deliver from Shipped notification?

Delivered today. total - 6 days since "Departed Manu.Facility".
2 days of production.
2 days to travel from china to UK. weekend. Two days to deliver from HUB in Lutterworth.

I ordered my Precision 5520 on the phone from a Dell sales rep on May 5, 2017. It was delivered May 11, 2017.

 

I ordered a higher-end FHD XPS15 9550 last year in October, it took almost a month. Ordered a similar spec'd 9560 from their Memorial Day sale yesterday and it shipped the same day.

 

Huh, @yessuz never came back, last visited Feb 22nd...

My 13 5000 took 4 weeks from order date to delivery date. My 11 3000 took 2 weeks, and my 24" touchscreen monitor took 3 weeks. It all depends on whats in stock at the warehouse. I think my monitor had to be shipped cross border, then to me.

 

I ordered a Dell 7577, and it arrived next day!

 

that was quick! Luckily you ordered a device that was on the shelf and ready to ship. Both of mine were builder devices. 3 week wait time for my 5000 to be build and shipped for a total of 4 weeks, and a week for my 3000 to be built and another week for shipping.

An XPS 15 with some light customized took 3 weeks, and even an "off the shelf" system took 5 days.

Hi, I am from BC,Canada. My first laptop (Inspiron 15 7000) took 11 business days from order to delivery. To break it down,
Ordered: Jan 12
Shipped: Jan 21
Delivered: Jan 29
ETA: Feb 2 (estimates are usually 3 weeks from time of order)
** that's 5 business days in production, 5 days to cross border, then 1 day to my doorstep.**

My second laptop I am expecting tomorrow or the next day. Item is XPS 15 9560.
Ordered: Mar 5
Shipped: Mar 14 - there was a slight delay
Delivered: to be announced
ETA: Mar 20 - that's today, did not arrive, still has not crossed the US-CA border.
**that's 7 business days in production with shortage I believe, already 5 days in transit to border. Delay in delivery.**

Beware, Chat support is useless. Those reps can not provide you an answer regarding your status and location. They are just a waste of time.

By the way, the shipping time while placing an order is a lie. My Inspiron showed ships in 8-10 business days, which shipped early. While my XPS 15 showed ships in 1-3 business days, and took them ~7 business days to ship.

Well I guess I am just unlucky the 2nd time.

 

2 weeks for alienware laptop but reading here.... Its a mixed bag
