    How long did your Build Take?

    I ordered a 1420 Inspiron, T8300, 4G, Blu Ray and it will take 3 weeks to build before shipping. 3 WEEKS???!!!! Isn't that a bit long to build?

    If there is a better deal out in that timeframe, or if they decide to offer something more powerful on a 1410 than a T8300 or 8400 GS then I hope that they will let me change it.

    How long did your build take?

    it most likely won't take as long as it says. they just give themselves plenty of time in case they run into trouble, not to mention it makes them look better when their packages ship 1 or 2 weeks early.

    Yeah... Mine wasn't three weeks out by any means, but I was given an estimated ship date of March 6th and it shipped on the 1st, and given the fact it was processed less than 250 miles away a little while ago by Dell, I may get it tomorrow.

    The one thing I can't figure out is DHL says that my package weighs 19lbs. I can't see it being that heavy unless they shipped both my laptop and the accessories I ordered together (even though the separate order for my accessories is still in production and hasn't shipped yet.).

    Believe it or not... they package does weigh in at about 20lbs for just the laptop.

    Mine XPS M1530 was ordered on 18th Feb and delivered on 22nd Feb... Build stage was one day... 19th Feb...

    Don't be discouraged.

    I've just finished reading horror stories from the Lenovo Forum and 3 weeks seems quick compared to some of these wait times. Well, more than just that -- people have been delayed multiple times, invariably extending their 'wait times' by several weeks to several months (!!).

    Frightening.
