I'm thinking about giving Dell one chance to change the screen on my 1520 before I return the laptop for a refund. They say I'd have it back in a week. Is that accurate?
If I'm going to return it for refund, I have to do it within 30 days of purchase, so I need to know if they'll have it back to me in time (in case they don't fix the problem or make it worse).
So those of you who've dealt with Dell Depot, did they get your laptop back to you in a week or did it turn into 2 or 3 weeks?

Are you sure it is 30 days? The return policy is usually 21 days....
I've never had them take more than a day to do the repairs and 2 days for transit... -
I read 30 days in a different thread, but it might be 21 days. I've had the laptop for a week while trying to decide what to do about it. Did they do a good job repairing your laptop?

This was for my just retired i5160 (still under warranty) and they always did a good job
The new i1520 is on site... -
I'm from the west coast. I sent my 1520 two times for lcd replacement, 1st time - sent it on tuesday got it back on friday, 2nd time - send it on wednesday got it back on monday. So....you can trust them on this

Thanks for the info. So does the LCD look any better this time?
How long does Dell Depot take?
