    How long does Dell take to sell a new platform ??

    Montevina platform (Centrino 2) is suposed to be released this summer, in june. How long do you think it will take before Dell offers it in their laptops?? How long did it take with the Santa Rose Platform (May 2007)?? I'm planing to buy a XPS M1530 but I need it before September. Should I wait ??

    If keep waiting for the next new processor...you'll never buy a new laptop! By the time the Montevina is released I'm sure another, faster processor will already be anounced.

    The price will probably be high(ish) when it first comes out, but a moth or 2 later prices should go down.
    No one can guarantee that Dell will start selling Montevina-based latops right away, though, so it might be risky waiting if you need it by the start of september.

    if you don`t need laptop till September,it will be better to wait,and yes it will be a little expensive then current because of all that new tech. staff.
