    How long does it take Dell to charge me

    Hi guys I was wondering how long does it take Dell to charge? Is it normal for them not to have charged u yet already having the machine?

    they usually invoice you once it ships then it may take a day or two for it to show on you card

    I'm in Australia, ordered it on 1st August and was charged to my Mastercard on 1st August - it has just shipped (24th August) but still not yet received. I think that it is illegal (in Australia) to bill before shipping.

    they are not actually charging you. they are, in essence, accessing the account to make sure there are available funds there and then putting a "hold" on the required amount. the actual charge does not happen till it ships.

    My Visa was charged 4 days after it shipped.

    Well I'm mafraid my creditcard company doesn't see it that way. I received my usual monthly bill including the charge of AU$3054. I paid in full as I hate incurring interest charges.

    They will charge you once your laptop ships
