How long does it take for Dell to ship your laptop?

I'm just really bored here and thinking about the laptop I ordered. I ordered it on Saturday December 23 with the free ground shipping. When do think think this laptop will come to my door? Oh yeah I'm in Canada, if that matters.

 

Well, I'm sure they couldn't work on it Saturday, Sunday or Monday, so they will probably ship it around like Thursday or Friday. That's about the time frame of when mine was shipped. (That's shipped, not delivered)

 

Well depends on the build time, they didn't work Saturday Sunday or Monday as the guy above said but if they ship on tues id say you'd have it by Friday

It usually takes a couple weeks to arrive. The build time does differ depending on the components, and if there is a shortage or not. But I'd say 2 weeks is about average. You could get lucky and get it in about a week though.

 

I ordered the 21st from the outlet so mine was already pre-built. Notebook originally said it would ship 1/2 but they actually shipped it 12/22. However, as of 12/26 I have no tracking info and the phone recording says it will get a tracking number when it gets to the shipper (UPS Commercial). Current estimate is 12/27 - 12/29 (I'm near Dell headquarters so may be faster than some).

 

That is the will of Dell. They do not provide information. Best you can do is call them.

 

Well you don't recieve the shipping info until the laptop gets to the Shipper. Alot of the laptops are built overseas and sent here to the regional distro center. Usually once it is tested it will take 3 days or so to get the tracking information. Hope this helps!

 

My experience: I ordered my E1705 Black Friday and I received it Wednesday the following week.

 

^ cool your in the exact same boat as me, i ordered from the outlet on the 21st, it was shipped on the 22nd, i got 3-5 day shipping free with an estimate of 12/27 - 12/29 with no UPS shipping number

Mine was faster that what I expected. I odered on the 13th of this month, and the estimated delivery date was the 27th. Which made sense due to Christmas day and Boxing day in Canada. However, it arrived on the 22nd. Can't complain about that

 

Mine arrived yesterday afternoon with it still saying no tracking information available!
