    How long does it take to deliver??

    Hey all (first post :D!!)

    My laptop had a hard drive failure yesterday (Sony said it would cost £300 to repair - grr - not bothering) and so this morning (Tuesday 14 Oct) I ordered a Studio Slim Desktop (I know its not a laptop.. but still) from dell for £629.
    Right.
    So I just went on to tracking the order (This is late afternoon) and it says that it is in it's "Production" phase.

    Now the problem.
    I am leaving the country on Sunday, leaving the house at 5Am. Therefore, I need the computer by SATURDAY EVENING. Is there any chance that Dell will deliver it by then? I will be away about a month, and I don't want to have to shout at their chosen courier too much about getting my computer into a van and driving it to Central London. (I live in central London).

    I live in the UK, and I ordered a Studio laptop [obviously not the same as the desktop, but you did post here] on September 15th. It was due to be delivered October 10th. On October 8th, they changed my estimated delivery date to November 4th. I called Dell and they said I should have it in two weeks [from the 10th] but they couldn't guarantee. So I definitely wouldn't expect you to get yours by Saturday.

    The tracker said its in it's "Delivery Preparation" phase now. And t says it can take up to 8 days. Hmph! If they take longer then i'll shout at them.

    YES!!!! I just checked the tracker, and it said "Delivery" Phase. LAST ONE!

    Ordered my Studio 1735 last Tuesday, and it just got delivered today! Can't wait to get home. :)

    Yeah, mine went into delivery phase after hours so they obviously didn't do anything then.
    The next day nothing.
    The following day I got it.
