How long does it take to get out of the "Order Processing" stage?

I orderd my XPS M1210 2 days ago and I've been looking at the status here
and there. And it's been in "Order Processing" since I placed the order.
The "Production Date" keeps moving up. I know this is normal.
But I'm just wondering how long it usually takes to get out of the "Order Processing" stage.

    *EDIT*

So, I called Dell. She said it was "on hold". So she took the hold off and put a rush on it. She said it should be in production on tuesday and in Canadian borders by friday. and maybe 3-4 days after that to get here.
    Lesson here: Calling helps.

If it's stuck at order processing, i think that it might mean your payment has not been cleared for some reason. For most people, just a few minutes after they order a system, they get past order processing (a checkmark appears next to it). Most people seem to get stuck at "pre-production" or "boxing" instead, which is pretty normal. If the estimated delivery date keeps moving up, you should call Dell and ask what's up.

On the phone they said it was cleared. I just read that another thing that'll
keep it in "Order Processing" is "Pending Availability of Parts".

Mine stayed in the pre-production phase for over a week. Today it moved from the pre-production to the testing phase. My order was placed on 8/29 and has an estimated ship date of 9/13.

Dell states that ordering a Core 2 may delay your order. When I ordered a Dual Core it was through production inside 24 hours and boxed and sent in 48.

Yeah... I recently heard about the back order on the Core 2 Duo.
    But...I think it's worth it.

well if you are checking the status of your order online then it will be stuck at one spot for a long time...but if you call then they will tell you the right status.
my status online used to be "in production" up until the 5th of sept, and when i called them on sept 5th, they said it was shipped out on the 2nd. so the online one isnt accurate

I ordered mine today, and it went from Order Processing to Pre-Production in a matter of hours. If only the rest of the steps would go that fast!

    M1210, go7400, webcam, DVDRW, bluetooth, and a fat battery...I can't wait!

I called to ask, and my rep said it was "probably still in testing"...I've got a checkmark next to "Testing"...does that mean it's IN testing, or DONE with testing? It's been there since Sunday, so I'm guessing it's really in "boxing" (the first stage without a checkmark).

    This is killing me...

I hope it gets moved up. Does anyone know if Dell works on the Weekends.

My m1210 went from pre-production to kitting/build/test all checkmarked on a Sunday evening. That was Monday in Malaysia.

I'm sure you've heard that they tend to over-estimate the ship delay. My original ship estimate was 9/25, which is when it will actually be delivered (unless UPS delays it again). It was shipped the 20th, 5 days after I ordered it, and 5 days ahead of their estimate.

Does everyone recieve a tracking number right after boxing is finished?

One minute, you still waiting for boxing to be finished, then a few hours later you check back and you have a tracking number ready?

Is that how it works, or is there any more waiting on Dell after it finishes boxing?

    **** I'm hating this boxing.
