I have a 9cell on my Studio. On power saving mode, it really only last like 3 hours. I just want to compare what other's are getting on battery power. Also, is there a warranty on the battery? Thanks

Battery warranty is usually 1 year.
What is your screen brightness when running on battery?

It really depends on the screen brightness for me. I can get like 1.5 hrs with it turned up all the way to 3.5 with it down a lot. This is with the 6 cell. Try turning down the brightness to a few 1 or 2 notches and see how much you get.

It depends on the OS and gpu as well, cpu, and LED screen.

There really isn't an average because it depends on what I'm doing. It's usually at least over two hours, though (6 cell).

ran a couple tests on my Studio 17 9 cell

runnin connected to external 22 LCD monitor I got 6 hours wifi off and. Basically since its not powering its own screen it go great battery life

With its 17 RGB LED screen to Max brightness wifi on and CPU on High performance looping and HD 720p video, and heavy web surfing and 1 restart, I got 2 hours 17 minutes

On avergae if I am carefull with half brightness and CPU on Balanced I can squeeze out 3 to 4 hours.

6 Cells - High Performance (Vista SP 2 X64) - please note High Performance mode in Vista put(s) your CPU on 100% all the time!
Regular stuffs - ~ (about) 2 hours and 20 minutes
I guess in Balanced or Power Saver mode It will be ~ 3 hours and someting

On my old HP Compaq 6730s - I got 4+ hours (watching movies) with 9 Cell
