    I ordered 1501 with Turion X2 TL-50 with 85WHR 9-Cell Battery.
Can it run for at least 3 hours ?

I've heard horrible stories that Turion is really bad for the battery life.

    From the review here: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3359&review=Dell+Inspiron+1501

"With the 6-cell battery I was able to get 3 hours 25 minutes of battery life. This was with screen brightness at half and wi-fi off."

And you ordered the 9 cell, so figure another hour or so under good conditions assuming your system isn't configured all that differently.

Without knowing how many watt's your new notebook has as it's draw, thereis n't a way to calculate.

    Hope that helps.

I have a 1505 with the 9-cell battery. I also have the ati x1400 graphics card. I get about 4.5 hours of battery life in real life conditions.

If your machine has an integrated graphics card, then I would expect you to do even better with the 9-cell battery.
