Not an easy question to answer.. kinda like, how many licks does it take to gt to the center of a totsie roll pop?
It's different for everyone. When your notebook ships depends on your birth sign, the positioning of the moon to the planet Venus, and how many stars are in the sky on Monday.

if its in the build stage does that mean they have all the parts for it already? or is it sometimes misleading and doesnt necessarily mean its started yet, cause mine skipped over the "kitting" phase or maybe it was so short i didnt get it when i called in to the order status line

I highly doubt it means it's actually building when they say that. I was in the build stage for about three weeks, no way were they actually building it the whole time.
