    That is pretty long for a Jet Black notebook. I think its the HD display thats holding things up.

    so i ordered my laptop 7/30 with an ESD of 8/21

    Went on dell.com today and configured my laptop all over again with same EXACT specs (same color,display,etc.) and the ESD is 8/22!!!

    WTF!!! How come i ordered mine a week ago and those that order today get an ESD just one day after mine :( :( :(

    anyone think mine will ship before 8/21?

    I ordered mine the 29th with an estimated ship date of 8/10. It shipped out the 2nd and it came here the 3rd. It was standard 3-5 day ground shipping via DHL. I was very surprised. It shipped from TN to OH.

    I knew mine was delayed when I checked on "my account" and it had a new shipping date, and I knew it had been delayed b/c the old shipping date had already came and went. They didn't notify me of anything.

    Man o man o man...Dell is pretty messed up with their inner communications.
    Online shows shipping today 8/6, I did the live chat thingy and the lady said it is delayed till 8/28(secong delay) due to "some out of stock parts" which she cant tell me.
    She gives me the number for the order change/cancell line. I call them, get stuck on hold for 11 minutes, AND THE GUY TELLS ME ITS SHIPPING TODAY!
    I explain that the live chat lady in India told me it was delayed untill the 28th.
    He refreshes his system, laughs and says it will ship today

    Hmmm I just ordered mines (1521) on the 4th, and the call in number said that it is in the boxing stage, although both the website and call in number say it still is expected to ship on 8/24.

    I agree that you are allowed and encouraged to start conversation with other frustrated customers. It just seems pointless and redundant to post the exact same thing seven times in seven different threads. It adds nothing to the discussion at hand.

    If you really want everyone to know your order date and estimated shipping date each time you post, put it in your sig and when you post something in any thread, there it is.

    I can understand that, I guess, but there is no additional content to any of those posts. They're carbon copies aside from the addition of a smiley in one and another having a minor change to the first line.

    Anyway, I'm not angry and I don't mean to sound as if I think blondeambition05 should stop posting. Just post something different to contribute to the discussion(s). ...Which I'm not doing here, either, so this is my last post on the subject.

    Being the internet, it's impossible to read what people are posting, so I apologize if I came off as trying to stifle your rights or something.
