    How long to build your Dell notebook?

    About how long did it take to build and receive your Dell? I need mine before Dec.1. Looking at the 6000 configured to order.

    If you order it like tommorow, you will defanitly get it by Dec. It usually takes from 4 to 7 days after ordering it. You will have plenty time so no need to worry. ;)

    You should have no problem getting it by the date specified. Although there are some cases I have heard of where the person has/had been waiting for about a month. Very rare though.

    If you already have ordered it you will have it before December first, in the meantime try to be patient, I know its hard, mine took seven business days, results will vary depending on demand at time of purchase. I just ordered a desktop from dell for my father, it left dells manufacturing sight the very same day and was in transit to Tenessee, dell has some sort of hub there, his desktop will arrive tuesday or wednesday, about three days earlier than Dell estimated.

    I actually worked at Dell last month here in Tenn. (Business Sales division) and typically (as many ppl know) the notebook screen and chasis is made in Malaysia. The other parts (kitting and building) is done in the US. However, u may order a system at a time where they have the notebooks and screens already stateside.... All testing is also done in the US.
