    How may in india bought XPS 1645?

    Hi,
    I just ordered SXPS 1645...my dream laptop. I was just wondering how many in India have ordered this computer? How was thier overall shipping experience? How many delays and everything.

    Also how is the laptop...any issues with the new one? Any Gyan for newbies.....

    Hi Vedantees,

    I ordered my SXPS 1645 on November 13th. They had said that it will be delivered by December 7th :) But when I inquired on December 8th, they said that my order has been cancelled! :confused: :eek:

    Finally today the customer care people have said a status of BUILD COMPLETE. They say that it will be delivered MAXIMUM(!) by December 22nd.

    Lets hope for the best and see what happens.

    BTW, how much did your SXPS 1645 cost you??

    something like 73k. How much did it cost you? When do they start showing est. delivery day. I ordered it on 16th, its saying that the estimated delivery date will be shown after 3 days. Is this the same for everyone?

    Exact same order date. Cancelled on the 26th. Re-ordered sometime in the middle. Buil complete 16th Dec. Now shipping tomorrow!

    Since my cousin is working at Dell, he ordered it for me under the employee discount scheme. It costed me 62k. Still that was more compared to the Studio XPS 1640 which I would have got for 53.5K.

    The only main reason I went for Studio XPS 1645 is ATI 4670 HD graphics card.

    BTW, I generally call up Dell Customer Care for any status updates, as they get access to more latest piece of information.

    I got a MFG Build Complete information last Thursday. After that it took 6 days to deliver. Yours might come quickly too!
