    maybe 1000? maybe less.

have you checked how much comporable systems are on ebay?

EDIT: i just checked ebay and didn't see any systems for more than 1000. most were about 650 to 750.

you may have bought it for $1600 but computers lose there value the second that they are bought. thats not even taking into acount new hardware that is out now. lets look at what you have

Pentium M Centrino 1.6 - average at best, the bottom of the barrel cpu
512 1 Dimm Ram - average people will just see the 512 mb and not the 1 dimm
80 gb HDD - very good this is good and make it atractive
DL DVD RW - bad not that great cause you cant burn dvd movies
    Internal Bluetooth - good
    15.4" WUXGA - very good
9 cell battery - good some people might think it make the system heavy
WXPMCE05 - average most notebooks have it standard now
Remote Control - good adds value to the overall package
TV Tuner - good adds value to the overall package
X300 128mb GC - good not the best one possible

you have a nice notebook, not trying to say its bad by any means. but if you look at the dell site you can get a e1505 with 1 gig of ram and all the stuff you have for $1450, now add $50 and you can use a 450 off 1500 and then it is $1050 and the e1501 is about the same as a 6000. so if im looking at new comp. i would say why would i pay even $1000 for yours when i could get a new one for $50 more. this is what you have to look at when you sell used stuff. so the post about $650-750 is a very real number to expect. also dell is blowing out all there single core cpu comps right now so they are dirt cheap which means that the used computer market is going to lower in price as well, its simple supply and demand. but hey there is a sucker born every minute so you might get lucky

really if you need $$ then i would look into other ways cause you will take a big lose if you sell your comp. over 50% lose is BAD
